Mental resilience is achievable!
Prof. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Henrik Walter heads the Mind and Brain Research Unit and the University Psychiatric Clinic as Deputy Medical Director at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurophilosophy at Charité in Berlin. There is no shortage of advice and insider tips on how to stay mentally resilient and healthy, says Walter. In his book, he explains in a compelling and accessible way why self-help guides on happiness usually promise more than they can deliver. Drawing on 30 years of clinical experience, he shares little-known but scientifically proven pathways to resilience. The need is great: within a year, one in three Europeans develops a mental health condition. Yet it is not always easy to distinguish mental health conditions from normal life problems.
